Blessings from Our Father

With eyes closed as we do our daily devotions Jeshua prays "Lord please let us get the red house so Jonah can make downstairs into a lab, and so we can have a beautiful house, and after we pick up the trash it will be beautiful."  That afternoon we get a call that we are one step closer to having an accepted offer.  So bedtime devotions all the boys decided we are going to pray for it again.  The following morning we get a call that the house is ours.  Thank you Jesus for showing my boys the power of prayer and boldly asking for what You want to bless us with. We teach them, and share with them your power but for them to experience it for themselves is what blesses me. You show yourself to us so clearly, but when my children get glimpses of you I am blown away by your power. Thank you Jesus for strengthening my boys' faith in You.
So with that we are overjoyed by the blessing of our new home and a place where you will be praised.  We thank you for being so faithful to us.

Strength of a 4 year old

So innocently and without complaining Jeshua mumbles as we walk out the back door "I miss having two hands." Since breaking his arm on Saturday night we have heard no complaints, expressed no frustration, and with every step he takes still manages to keep up with big brothers. I watch him as he plays in the yard, he plays as if no injury at all. You wonder if he will grow tired at the end of the day, and still at 8:00 when things are winding down, still he keeps going. While he sleeps he struggles to roll over and still can sleep so peacefully.
He amazes me how strong and determined he is, I wonder if I was ever that strong. I am encouraged by him and how he deals with adversity even if it is just for a short time. He challenges me to rise above obstacles I may have. I thank God for his unbelievable strength and positive outlook on everything he sees and does
Still in the midst of all of it he stops to pick a flower for ME, and wait and hold the door for ME.  He should be the one who reaps the special treatment, and he is thinking of ME.  I am so unworthy of what the Lord blesses me with, yet I embrace what HE does. I am so blessed by the miracle of my children and the qualities they possess as young boys. I see the true characteristics of Christ in them.

Piano

Since the first of the year the boys have been taking piano lessons from their Grandpa Mike.  They are playing songs and are learning how to read music and they even play the piano at the same time.  They love learning new songs and it is truly amazing the joy it brings to their lives.  The icing on the cake is that they get to be with grandpa.  I know the boys treasure that time they have with him and to boot they are learning such an amazing thing, music.  So this last week they completed Unit 2 and they had a concert for our family.  Everyone dressed up, they got there certificates of completion, we had a special dinner and dessert.  It was an awesome celebration.

Catching Up

Ok, Ok, so I have a lot of cathcing up to do. We wrapped up another wrestling season with the boys and they did exceptionally well. They learned a lot and really enjoyed themselves. Josiah ended the season with two gold medals and a silver. Jonah got a gold and bronze. It was so exciting to watch them in competittion and see them put all that energy into something fun that they like. I highly recommend it to parents of boys. It truly is natural for them. So for now Jeshua will begin soccer and then baseball season in the summer for the big boys.
It brings me so much joy to watch each of them develop differently in sports. They all possess different talents and strengths which make it so unique and amazing to watch. This is just the beginning of our journey they will take us on and I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world.
